Checo Pérez rompió el silencio sobre su relación con Max Verstappen, con quien ha protagonizado diferentes polémicas.

Pese a ello, el comienzo de temporada para ambos pilotos ha sido muy bueno, pues después de tres carreras el tapatío suma un triunfo, un segundo lugar y un quinto puesto en Australia, mientras que Verstappen acumula dos triunfos y un segundo lugar.

Y aunque no son los mejores amigos, Checo Pérez declaró al medio Racing News 365 que entre ambos hay un respeto incuestionable.

“Para ser honesto, nos respetamos mucho más de lo que la gente podría pensar. Hay un gran ambiente con el equipo, hay un nivel muy alto de respeto entre todos en el equipo con todos los ingenieros de su lado y del mío.

“Creo que ambos somos lo suficientemente maduros para saber qué está bien y qué está mal. Mientras siga siendo así, no espero que nada cambie”.
