Futbolista uruguayo se suicida tras dejar preocupante mensaje en su WhatsApp

Diego Galo, futbolista uruguayo de 29 años del Sportivo Bella Italia de la Primera División Amateur, decidió quitarse la vida el pasado lunes 4 de diciembre.

Previo al trágico hecho, Diego compartió un preocupante mensaje a través de su estado de WhatsApp que hacía referencia directa a la dura depresión que venía sufriendo en los últimos días.

El Sportivo Bella Italia confirmó la triste noticia en sus redes sociales. Asimismo, agradeció a todas las personas que colaboraron en la búsqueda de Diego, quien estaba reportado como desaparecido.

“Diego era un aguerrido zaguero, que con coraje e hidalguía vistió nuestros colores, pero lo más importante, era una persona alegre y profesional“.

Según trascendió, las autoridades hallaron algunas de las prendas del futbolista uruguayo en la zona de Kibón sobre la rambla de Montevideo.

Aprovechando la enorme repercusión del caso, el Sportivo Bella Italia publicó además un mensaje de concientización sobre la importancia de la salud mental.

Jorge Rodríguez, capitán del equipo, pidió que todos los clubes cuenten con psicólogos deportivos especializados para evitar que situaciones trágicas como ésta vuelvan a repetirse.
